Former GCSE student graduates from Salford with First class degree

Steph

We are thrilled to share that Steph, a former Maths GCSE student at West Lancashire College, is now graduating from The University of Salford with a first-class honours degree!

We spoke with Steph who says, “I started at West Lancashire College in September 2018 to resit my GCSE Maths, in order to pursue my ambition to become a diagnostic radiographer. Upon the successful completion, I enrolled on the Access to Medical Science course in September 2019. The Access course prepared me fully for what to expect as a mature student entering university life. In order to gain one of 65 places at the University of Salford, I was required to achieve full distinctions on my access course which I did.

"Even during COVID lockdown in March 2020, West Lancashire College continued to support me to ensure I secured my place. I have now studied at Salford for the past 3 years and have just found out I have achieved a BSc Diagnostic Radiography with First Class Honours.

"I am very grateful for all the help and support that everyone at West Lancashire College gave to me.”
