Day 2 of Industry Week has been absolutely brilliant for our students! 😄
▪ Chloe from the Salon Promotions Ltd team visited our Level 2 and Level 3 Hairdressing students as part of Industry Week to discuss advanced foiling and colour knowledge skills, ahead of the Stylebook Education profile competition!
▪ Foundation Learning students prepared for a coffee shop by making cakes. They were set a budget and had to work out how much each item would cost. The team with the most amount of money at the end would win.
▪ Our Business students have been getting stuck in! T Level students explored different ways to create engaging social media posts for the launch of a new burger. By integrating Adobe Express into their classwork, students gained hands-on experience with industry-standard software. This practical knowledge is invaluable as they prepare for careers in marketing, advertising and business. Level 3 BTEC Business students have been completing interactive, work-based learning experiences through the Springpod platform.
▪ Uniformed Public Services Level 3 focused on skills training and in particular, radio use for search and rescue, as well as road traffic collision (RTC) reporting.
▪ Foundation Learning students have been working on using technology in their 'everyday life' unit. A competition was held where they provided evidence of using technology at home or in the community. Well done to Sean for winning!
