We recently welcomed Irfan Ahmed from PA Consulting onto campus to deliver a session on Debating Skills to our MOD students, as part of their ongoing extracurricular programme 😊
They were split into two groups and given a selection of topics relevant to current affairs, such as online safety and monitoring activity. The students then selected their topic and decided whether they were for or against the proposed idea. The session provided our students with the opportunity to think critically about real-world issues and the potential challenges that arise when such topics are debated in Parliament, while also developing their communication skills through discussion with others.
