We’re still buzzing from last week’s Mayor of London Adult Learning Awards! Mahmoud, an Access to Higher Education in Business student at Southwark College, was highly commended for the Learning for Personal Progression Award at the Mayor of London’s Adult Learning Awards!
Mahmoud’s journey is truly inspiring. While studying for his GCSEs, he experienced homelessness after being granted refugee status. With the unwavering support of Southwark College staff, he persevered and continued his education. Today, he’s also a registered volunteer with Crisis, helping to end homelessness.
We’re incredibly proud of Mahmoud and the example he sets for adult learners everywhere. 🌟
