Our students have had another incredible day of engaging with local employers for Industry Week.
Here are a few of the highlights from today:
🔹 Our Engineering Students got to meet some of the robots and roboteers from 90s classic
#RobotWars including our very own Engineering Lecturer Hazel Bone, and John Findlay, Director of Roaming Robots. They also had the chance to make and battle their own robots!
🔹 Daniel Peters, CEO and Co-founder of Marra Bio ran a practical protein purification session with our science students
🔹 Our Uniformed Protective Services students took part in assault course training with the Fusilliers
🔹 Music Students competed in an inter-college Battle of the Bands competition and won!
🔹 Our Acting and musical theatre students enjoyed a tour of the historic Tyne Theatre and Opera House
A big shout out to all the employers, guest speakers, and partners who helped make today incredible! We can’t wait to do it all again, AGAIN tomorrow
