🎥 Guest speaker alert!
This morning, our Art & Design learners had the opportunity to hear directly from actor, photographer and author Paul Stevenson, who joined us at Newcastle College during #TourettesSyndromeAwarenessMonth to introduce a screening of film I Swear.
Also known for his children’s book My Tics and Me, Paul is passionate about sharing lived experiences and raising awareness through his creative work.
After the screening, Paul hosted a Q&A with our Level 2 and 3 students, sharing honest insights into his journey and what it really takes to succeed in the creative industries.
“This film is not just entertainment. It is a reminder of the power of lived experience, resilience and community – a story that deserves to be told, and one that will stay with you long after the credits roll.”
A brilliant opportunity for our learners to connect industry experience with their own creative ambitions while engaging with an important awareness topic.
