Joinery Apprentice George Swift took first place in the North East SkillBuild regional heat last month and has since been announced as one of the eight students in his discipline set to compete in the National Final in November.
SkillBuild is the nation’s largest construction skills, apprenticeships, and careers event. The North East qualifier was one of 19 regional qualifiers that took place across the country, as learners competed in their field to make it through to the Go Construct national final.
