We're so proud of our Hospitality and Catering students who had the fantastic opportunity to demonstrate their skills during an important event at the Chefs' Academy. Our students showcased their talents by preparing and serving a three-course meal for a distinguished group of guests, including Sir Chris Bryant, Minister for Creative Industries, Arts and Tourism, @The North East Combined Authority Mayor Kim McGuinness, @Destination North East England, and other VIPs.
This special occasion was not only an opportunity for key discussions about the region's visitor economy, but also an invaluable experience for our students, who put their training into practice in both the kitchen and front of house.
Guided by their lecturers, they created a welcoming environment and delivered a high-quality dining experience. The Chefs' Academy offers a platform where students can perfect their skills while serving the public, and as our guests discovered, it truly is a hidden gem, nurturing the region's future talent.
