West Lancashire College students embark on community revamp
In early September, West Lancashire College collaborated with West Lancashire Borough Council, Tawd Valley Developments (TVD) and Volunteer It Yourself (VIY) on an exciting project to revamp Skelmersdale’s Fairhaven Park.
Known as a community park, Fairhaven has undergone a volunteer-centric transformation with the college’s Level 2 Carpentry and Level 3 Bricklaying students assisting with the creation of new tables and benches, as well as a safer walking environment in the underpass with new graffiti artwork and improved lighting.
