Newcastle College HITZ Students and Teacher Shortlisted for National Awards

Two Newcastle College students and one Newcastle College teacher have been named on the shortlists for the annual Premiership Rugby HITZ Awards. The awards ceremony, which will take place at Twickenham Stadium next week, is an annual celebration of young learners and mentors involved in the Premiership Rugby flagship education and employment programme, HITZ. The shortlist of twelve nominees includes participants, staff, volunteers and supportive businesses who have engaged with the Premiership Rugby HITZ programme across the country, making a difference to their own life or to the lives of others. Congratulations to Sports students Katie Bolton (shortlisted for the Academic Achiever Award) and Charlie Cree (shortlisted for the Physical Activity Award) and their tutor Kevin Esther (shortlisted for Champion Award).
